Privacy policy

SUEDE Studio LLC ("SUEDE," "we," "us") runs a private reformer Pilates studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. This policy explains what we collect when you visit suedestudioclt.com, join our founding list, use the SUEDE app, or sign up through a form on Instagram or TikTok, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address and, if you choose, your mobile number.
• Account and booking details when you use the SUEDE app: your bookings, membership, signed waiver and visit history.
• Payment details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We don't store your full card number.
• Information from social platforms: if you sign up through an Instagram or TikTok form, that platform sends us what you entered.
• Messages you send us by email or text.

We don't use advertising cookies on this website.

How we use it

• To run your membership and bookings, including sending door codes and booking reminders.
• To send founding-member pricing, our opening date and occasional studio updates.
• To answer your questions and keep the studio safe.

Text messages

When you opt in to texts, you are giving your consent directly to SUEDE Studio LLC, and only SUEDE Studio LLC will text you. There are two ways to opt in, and each is separate:

• Account and booking texts: in the SUEDE app, you enter your mobile number and tap “Text me a code.” We then text you about your own account and bookings, such as door codes, booking confirmations and reminders.
• Optional promotional texts: on our website, you tick an optional, unticked box to receive opening news and founding-member updates.

Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our SMS terms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates. We do not sell, rent or share your SMS opt-in data or mobile number with anyone for their marketing.

If you start signing up and don't finish

When you begin checkout for a membership, our payment provider collects your email address on that page. If you enter it and tick the box agreeing to hear from us, we may send you a reminder about finishing your sign-up, along with occasional news about the studio. We do this only when you have ticked that box. If you start checkout and don't tick it, we never receive your address and we don't email you.

Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and we stop sending as soon as you use it. We don't use these addresses for anything other than the reminder and studio news described here.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the studio, such as our form, email, text, booking, door-access and payment providers, and only so they can do that work for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. All of the above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're on our list or a member. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record, such as signed waivers and payment records.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email, or reply STOP to any text.
• See, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@suedestudioclt.com.

Children

SUEDE is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reputable service providers and limit access to your information to the people who need it to run the studio. No online service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
